Next 3-4 March, in the desert of AlUla – Saudi Arabia, one of the most enchanting and exciting races on the international calendar will be back on stage: AlUla Endurance Cup 2023.
Once again, after the great success of last year, the combinations sistemaeventi.it and Italia Endurance Asd has been selected by the Royal Commission for AlUla and the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation as Sport Technical Team to manage all the technical-sporting part of the great international event.
An expert team of 32 people, mostly Italian, 24 of whom carry the great experience of 2022 on their shoulders, will then leave for AlUla to organize a CEI2* 120 km whose route will be immersed in the splendid panorama of the rocky desert. Leading the team from Italy will be Gianluca Laliscia, general sporting director, and Brian Colin Dunn, event director, two world-leading figures for endurance.
AlUla, located 1.100 km northwest of the capital Riyadh, is characterized by numerous oases, sandstone mountains and archaeological sites, among which the name of Hegra stands out, the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in Saudi Arabia.
There will be 200 invited participants who will start on March 4 at the CEI2* in AlUla, including Saudi riders and riders from all over the world who will compete for a prize money of 15 million SAR, about 4 million euro, the highest never established before for an endurance race, and numerous benefits made available by the organizing committee.
Our organizing committee is highly motivated and ready to once again give its valuable contribution to the organization of a major event such as the AlUla Endurance Cup 2023 and is honored to have been chosen by a government body, the Royal Commission for AlUla, to support the enhancement and promotion of a fascinating site like that of AlUla.
