The 2023 edition of the “Al Gawsit Endurance Cup”, staged this weekend in Castellaneta Marina in Puglia, will also and above all be remembered for the formidable performances of the Italia Endurance Stables & Academy team of Agello di Magione in the two international competitions CEI2* and CEI3*, which count for a win, a third place and a Best Condition award.
The team’s spearhead, Costanza Laliscia, completed a double test of “resistance” by completing 280 km in just 36 hours, 120 km on Saturday 22 April and 160 km on Sunday 23 April.
In the CEI2* 120 km, riding an amazing Cadzya du Barthas, a thoroughbred Arabian female born in France in 2012, the amazon of the Fuxiateam led a race always in the lead, winning at an average of 18.113 km/h and scoring the last lap fastest of all the competition at an average of 20.961 km/h. The gap of 2’30” from the first rider, at the restart of the last 20 km loop, was immediately filled in a few kilometers to then conclude and cross the finish line in first place after a fantastic final sprint.
Cadzya du Barthas demonstrated her excellent qualities by finishing the 120 km in perfect physical condition, confirmed by the assignment of the Best Condition award by the Veterinary Commission.
On Sunday 23 April, Costanza and Assim du Barthas, thoroughbred Arabian gelding of 2010, competed in the maximum category of 160 km.
