It’s always exciting when a father and son share the same passion and work together to achieve a goal.
This is the case of Gianluca and Costanza Laliscia, fundamental pillars of the large Fuxiateam family, who returned to competing together on March 30th.
Gianluca’s decision to return to the race was motivated not by a mere personal impulse, but rather by a very special request coming from his daughter Costanza.
Faced with Costanza’s will, Gianluca could not resist replying to participate with her in a 100 km race to qualify the first foals of our breeding in the international categories.
After a period of absence from competitions and despite the limited notice of only four weeks, Gianluca was not unprepared and undertook intensive preparation in view of the competition characterized by determination and stubbornness.
The CEI1* 101 km of Marina di Pisa, which took place on Easter Eve, saw Costanza and Gianluca start at 07:00 in the morning riding respectively Bona Dea Agylla, a thoroughbred Arabian female, and Besalis Agylla, a thoroughbred Arabian gelding.
Father and daughter faced the entire race, kilometer after kilometre, together, transmitting an extraordinary demonstration of the power of determination, family and the great passion for endurance.
A race that saw the two combinations representing Fuxiateam achieve the qualification objective for the two 2017 foals of the Agylla breeding and obtain sixth position for Costanza and Bona Dea Agylla and eighth position for Gianluca and Besalis Agylla.
With the past weekend, another indelible page was certainly written in the history of Fuxiateam and Italia Endurance Stables & Academy. Gianluca’s long-awaited return was much more than just a competition… it was a true symbol of perseverance, love and family bond. Wanting is power!
