Sweat, smiles and pride on the faces of the riders of the Italia Endurance Academy Masterclass. Ilaria, Matilde, Maria Letizia, Samuel, Federico and Martina worked hard today, on a third day that gave them an interesting mix of practical tests, teamwork and classroom lessons at the Agello headquarters of Italia Endurance Stables & Academy. Giacomo Sintini, the volleyball champion and the national team, followed them with attentive eyes and the proverbial enthusiasm of a great champion, who in the afternoon faced Gianluca Laliscia and the Academy staff on the philosophy behind the project.
Today’s program started early in the morning with a riding work – from 8am to 10.30am – on the all weather track downstream from the team, where the boys trained together with the top Fuxiateam riders Costanza Laliscia and Carolina Tavassoli Asli; to follow the de-briefing which was also attended by Gianluca Laliscia and Angelo Paris.
At 11 the 6 riders then moved into the classroom for a lesson together with the vet Angelo Paris to address a particularly central topic for the under-18s: “The endurance horse: general management”. In the afternoon, on the other hand, Dr. Paris shared the contents of another great theme linked to the necessary synergy between the two great protagonists of endurance: the rider and the horse. The central theme of the classroom lesson was “The endurance horse: assessment of athletic ability”.
The day was concluded with the meeting with the posturologist Umberto Panichi, who proposed to Ilaria, Matilde, Maria Letizia, Samuel, Federico and Martina a theme not always considered with due attention: “Postural evaluation of the rider”.
Tomorrow the final day will start at 8.00 with the course “Ostacle, course, ride”, followed by a lecture on “Endurance: values, leadership and communication”, the evaluation tests and the closing ceremony with the delivery of certificates .
