Castiglione del Lago, Umbria and Lake Trasimeno are increasingly protagonists in the world of international equestrian endurance.
After the award by the FEI – International Equestrian Federation – of the 2025 European Championship in Castiglione del Lago, the Zigulí Test Event FEI Endurance European Championship 2025 will be held on 31 August this year, i.e. the general rehearsals for what will be then next year’s championship, under the organizing committee of Italia Endurance Stables & Academy.
The best international endurance specialists will compete along one of the most fascinating and history-rich tracks. The course offered by the Trasimeno Regional Park, in fact, has always been appreciated for the quality of the surfaces and the gentle altitude to the point of being considered one of the most suitable scenarios for hosting top-level competitions. In addition to the technical value, to guarantee further depth to the Zigulí Test Event FEI Endurance European Championship 2025 there will also be a first-rate location: the former Eleuteri Airport which will act as the starting and arrival point for the race course and will be the true beating heart of the event, where the temporary village will be set up.
The competitions will take place on Saturday 31 August in three different categories: the CEI3* 160 km which will be the real test event for 2025, the CEI2* 120 km CIM and the CEI1* 101 km. To add prestige to the international competitions, a fantastic prize money of 20.000 euros for the maximum category of 160 km.
The ambitious program of the Zigulí Test Event FEI Endurance European Championship 2025, in addition to the sporting part, includes a series of relevant activities such as the Press Conference scheduled for Friday 30 August in Castiglione del Lago and the Endurance Grand Gala at Italia Endurance Stables & Academy. In addition, in the Village which will take shape in the enchanting setting of the former Eleuteri Airport, a Lounge will be set up which will offer an immersion in the Umbrian food and wine delights, allowing national and international guests to discover the peculiarities of the area and establish relationships with the main protagonists of the Endurance world.
